Consolidated budget received 569.4 billion UAH in January – June 2023 Chapter: News

Taxpayers continue to support state dutifully paying taxes to the budget. Thanks to their active civic position, the state steadily receives funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and social benefits.

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 569.4 billion UAH in January – June 2023 according to operational data. State budget received 356.6 billion UAH, local budgets – 212.8 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to the general fund of the state budget amounted to 351.5 billion UAH in January – June 2023. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of the general fund of the state budget were fulfilled by 103.1%, budget additionally received 10.4 billion UAH. Herewith, 72 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to the payers’ accounts.  

In terms of taxes, indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine were exceeded from the corporate income tax by 19.9% (+11.3 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) by 21.8% (+8.9 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax by 6.9% (+5.2 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in January – June 2023, the increase compared to the corresponding period of previous year is from the excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) by 1.5 times (+17.6 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax by 23.0% (+15.0 billion UAH) and corporate income tax by 5.1 percent (+3.3 billion UAH).

Local budgets received 212.8 billion UAH in January – June 2023, which is 42.1 billion UAH or 24.3% more than in January – June 2022.   

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 89.7 billion UAH in June 2023. State budget received 53.5 billion UAH, local budgets – 36.2 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to the general fund of the state budget amounted to 52.2 billion UAH in June 2023. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of the general fund of the state budget were fulfilled by 101.1%, budget additionally received 0.6 billion UAH. 10.3 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to the payers’ accounts.

Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on the value added tax were fully met, namely 112.7% (+2.0 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 106.4% (+0.5 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in June 2023, the increase compared to June 2022 is from the value added tax, namely 149.2% (+5.8 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 118.9% billion UAH (+2.4 billion UAH), rent payment for use of subsoils of national significance – 158.0% (+1.7 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 102.9% (+0.2 billion UAH).

Local budgets received 36.2 billion UAH in June 2023, which is by 5.7 billion UAH or 18.7% more than in June 2022.
