Consolidated budget received 661.3 billion UAH in January – July 2023 Chapter: News

Taxpayers continue to support state dutifully paying taxes to the budget. Thanks to their active civic position and patriotism, budget steadily receives such necessary funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and social payments to citizens.

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 661.3 billion UAH in January – July 2023 according to operational data. State budget received 409.3 billion UAH, local budgets – 252 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to the general fund of the state budget amounted to 403.4 billion UAH in January – July 2023. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of the general fund of the state budget were fulfilled by 102.8; budget additionally received 11 billion UAH. Herewith, 82 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to the payers’ accounts.   

In terms of taxes, scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine were exceeded from the corporate income tax by 22.6% (+13.1 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) by 18.3% (+9 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax by 6.2% (+5.6 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in January – July 2023, the increase compared to the corresponding period of previous year is from the excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) by 1.5 times (+18.5 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax by 21.5% (+16.9 billion UAH) and corporate income tax by 2.4 percent (+1.6 billion UAH).  

Local budgets received 252 billion UAH in January – July 2023, which is 44.7 billion UAH or 21.6% more than in January – July 2022.    

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 91.9 billion UAH in July 2023. State budge t received 52.7 billion UAH, local budgets – 39.2 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to the general fund of the state budget amounted to 51.9 billion UAH in July 2023. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of the general fund of the state budget were fulfilled by 101.1%, budget additionally received 0.6 billion UAH. 10 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to the payers’ accounts.

Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on the income tax were fully met, namely – 236.7 percent (+1.8 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 102.8% (+0.4 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 101.3% (+0.1 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in July 2023, the increase compared to July 2022 is from the levy and personal income tax, namely 114.1% billion UAH (+1.9 billion UAH), rent payment for use of subsoils of national significance – 148.4% (+1.8 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 111.7% (+0.9 billion UAH).

Local budgets received 39.2 billion UAH in July 2023, which is by 5.7 billion UAH or 16.9% more than in July 2022.
