State Tax Service took part in discussion regarding implementation of the General Anti-Tax Abuse Rule (GAAR)

As a part of cooperation project with the European Union, Ukraine is implementing the General Anti-Tax Abuse Rule (GAAR). Representatives of the State Tax Service of Ukraine took part in an online seminar held jointly with the EU4PFM and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Event was devoted to implementation of this rule by Ukraine.

The GAAR rule is one of measures provided for in the European Union Council Directive on combating tax avoidance practices. Its implementation will make it possible to combat such practices and ensure more efficient accumulation of taxes in Ukraine.

Project experts spoke in detail about the essence of this rule and mechanisms of its application.

Event was another important step in implementation of the GAAR in Ukraine and confirmation of our country's commitment to international principles of combating tax evasion.
