Consolidated budget received 787.2 billion UAH in January – August 2023 Chapter: News

Taxpayers continue to support state dutifully paying taxes to the budget. Thanks to their active civic position, the state steadily receives funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and social benefits.

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 787.2 billion UAH in January – August 2023 according to operational data. State budget received 493.9 billion UAH, local budgets – 293.3 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to the general fund of the state budget amounted to 486.5 billion UAH in January – August 2023. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of the general fund of the state budget were fulfilled by 102.4%, budget additionally received 11.2 billion UAH. Herewith, 91 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to the payers’ accounts.   

In terms of taxes, scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine were exceeded from the corporate income tax by 24.2% (+19.9 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) by 18.5% (+10.7 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax by 3.6% (+3.8 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in January – August 2023, the increase compared to the corresponding period of previous year is from the excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) by 1.4 times (+20.8 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax by 20.5% (+18.7 billion UAH) and corporate income tax by 17.5 percent (+15.2 billion UAH).  

Local budgets received 293.3 billion UAH in January – August 2023, which is 50.2 billion UAH or 20.6% more than in January – August 2022.    

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 125.9 billion UAH in August 2023. State budget received 84.6 billion UAH, local budgets – 41.3 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to the general fund of the state budget amounted to 83 billion UAH in August 2023. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of the general fund of the state budget were fully fulfilled by 100.3%, budget additionally received 0.2 billion UAH. 9 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to the payers’ accounts.  

Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on the income tax were fully met, namely 128.1% (+6.8 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 120.3% (+1.7 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in August 2023, the increase compared to August 2022 is from the income tax –by 1.8 times (+13.5 billion UAH), value added tax from goods produced in Ukraine (balance) – 22.2% (+3.6 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 29.5% (+2.3 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 143% billion UAH (+1.8 billion UAH).

Local budgets received 41.3 billion UAH in August 2023, which is by 5.5 billion UAH or 15.4% more than in August 2022.
