Tax administration reform is focus of cooperation between the State Tax Service and the International Monetary FundChapter: News

Mission of the Tax-Budget Department of the International Monetary Fund has finished its work, which was attended by acting Deputy Head of the State Tax Service Yevhenii Sokur, Director of the Legal Entities Taxation Department of the State Tax Service Tetiana Hrechana, representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and State Customs Service of Ukraine.

During the mission, work continued on the finalization of the National Revenue Strategy, which will also become a part of the action plan for the State Tax Service on key areas of tax administration reform, in particular, progress was noted on current activities and planning of measures aimed at ensuring improved voluntary compliance with tax legislation, use of data and technologies in activities of the State Tax Service, personnel planning and revision of the organizational structure.

Work of the technical mission was aimed at implementing and realizing provisions of the Letter of Intent and Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy, in particular, established structural beacons.

Reminder! Government of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine signed a Letter of Intent for the first review of the updated package of economic and financial policy measures of the 4-year program within framework of the Extended Financing Mechanism on June 19, 2023. Its goal is to renew fiscal and debt sustainability while promoting the long-term growth in context of the post-war reconstruction and Ukraine’s path to the EU accession.
