International conference "SRS 30. Transformation and sustainability" has completed its work

International conference "SRS 30. Transformation and Sustainability" has come to the end, where participants exchanged experience in tax administration, as well as implementation of formula "Quality management = Stories of client experience = Satisfied client" in the Baltic states.

Acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Tetiana Kiriienko, during her speech at the conference, spoke about transformation of tax administration management processes and provision of services by the tax service, sharing Service's achievements in crisis management and digital security during the martial law.

"Our strategic task, taking into account realities, is protection of personal information and registers. We are focused on security, reliability, convenience of services and expansion of opportunities that will help our taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations, which, accordingly, will positively affect level of voluntary compliance with tax legislation and filling the budget" – emphasized Head of the Service.

Special attention was paid to the European integration processes of Ukraine. Tetiana Kiriienko thanked the Baltic states for their solidarity and support in the implementation of projects that are a priority for the State Tax Service of Ukraine and aimed at fulfilling requirements for becoming member of the European Union. In this matter, the State Tax Service actively cooperates with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in particular regarding implementation of list of the EU acts determined by the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Currently, the State Tax Service, with support of the EU4PFM project, is studying technical aspects of connecting the EU IT systems, in particular, such as the Excise products movement control system and VAT information exchange system. In the course of conference, possibility of acquiring practical experience by the IT specialists of the State Tax Service regarding operation peculiarities of such systems and exchange of knowledges regarding their connection was discussed.

Work of the State Tax Service does not stop in direction of implementation of the automatic information exchange between countries for tax purposes. In December of this year, the OECD Global Forum is scheduled to conduct a virtual assessment of maturity of the information security management system in the State Tax Service.

Meeting, during the visit, was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Latvia Anatoly Kutsevol. Assistance in organizing process of exchanging practical experience with Latvian colleagues was also discussed during the meeting.
