Counteraction against illegal turnover of excisable products continues

State Tax Service of Ukraine informs that tax audit units are constantly carrying out operational tax control measures to combat illegal turnover of excisable products on the territory of Ukraine.

Illegal turnover of excisable products is carried out, as a rule, by individuals without appropriate state registration and registered registrars of settlement operations, in the absence of appropriate license for carrying out certain type of activity and supporting documents regarding the origin of such products.

In the course of 2023, taking into account effect of martial law on the territory of Ukraine, consequences of enemy attacks on the territory of Ukraine, territorial units of tax audit of the State Tax Service, together with territorial bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, initiated seizure of more than 8.2 million UAH of tobacco and alcohol products from illegal turnover.

Volyn tax officials detected violations for 1.5 million UAH during sale of excisable products in one of the regional retail chains of region:

Reminder! For illegal economic activity, in all cases, administrative offenses are filed against violators under Articles 156 and 164 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, and all counterfeit (smuggled) excisable products are subject to confiscation.
