International cooperation: State Tax Service took part in meeting of Directors General of Tax and Customs Administrations of the Baltic StatesChapter: News

Meeting of Directors General of Tax and Customs Administrations of the Baltic States was dedicated to the exchange of experience and best practices in tax and customs administration, in which delegation of the State Tax Service took part at the invitation of the State Tax Inspectorate under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania.

During events, the most important cases in tax and customs spheres, peculiarities of tax and customs legislation, as well as integration practices of the Baltic States, organizational structures and innovations in strategic management, indicators of activity of tax and customs administrations were considered.

According to acting Head of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kiriienko, successful experience of the Baltic States and best practices in implementation of innovative projects in the tax administration are especially important for the State Tax Service in view of the European integration processes and the Service's work on fulfilling, according to its competence, necessary requirements for our country to become a member of the European Union. 

During the meeting, Tetiana Kiriienko spoke about implementation by the State Tax Service of Ukraine of measures provided for in the Tax Administration section of the National Revenue Strategy of Ukraine until 2030, approved by the Government of Ukraine in December 2023.

"National Revenue Strategy of Ukraine is a reform roadmap necessary to ensure potential to meet fiscal needs in the medium term. Its successful implementation will ensure increase in budget revenues on a sustainable basis, closure of opportunities for tax evasion, as well as increase in level of compliance with legislation and counteraction against shadow economy" – stated Tetiana Kiriienko.
