Consolidated budget received 652.1 billion UAH in January – May 2024 Chapter: News

Taxpayers continue conscientiously support our state by dutifully paid taxes. Thanks to their responsible citizenship and patriotism, budget steadily receives such necessary funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and social payments to our citizens.

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget for payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted to 652.1 billion UAH in January – May 2024 according to operational data. State budget received 482.4 billion UAH, local budgets – 169.7 billion UAH.

Revenues (balance) to general fund of the state budget amounted to 440.5 billion UAH in January – May 2024. Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues of general fund of the state budget were fulfilled by 111.3%. Herewith, VAT was reimbursed to payers’ accounts in the amount of 57.3 billion UAH.       

In terms of taxes, scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine were exceeded from the corporate income tax by 1.5 times (+44.5 billion UAH), value added tax on products (works, services) produced in Ukraine, taking into account budget compensation – by 2.7 percent (+2.9 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 3.6 percent (+2.7 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 5 percent (+2.2 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in January – May 2024, the increase compared to January – May 2023 is from corporate income tax, namely 2.2 times (+76.4 billion UAH), value added tax on products (works, services) produced in Ukraine, taking into account budget compensation – by 1.6 times (+41.7 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 21.5 percent (+14.0 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 13.8 percent (+5.7 billion UAH). 

Revenues (balance) to the consolidated budget from payments controlled by the State Tax Service amounted almost to 147.3 billion UAH in May 2024, including to the state budget – 109.5 billion UAH, local budgets received 37.8 billion UAH. 

Revenues (balance) to general fund of the state budget amounted to 100 billion UAH in May 2024. Exceeding of scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for revenues to general fund of the state budget is 6.9 percent, additional revenues to the budget amounted to 6.4 billion UAH. 12.7 billion UAH of the VAT was reimbursed to payers’ accounts. 

Scheduled indicators of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine were fully met from the income tax, namely 114.1 percent (+5.2.billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 105.3 percent (+0.9 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 102.8 percent (+0.3 billion UAH).

In terms of main payments in May 2024, the increase compared to May 2023 is from the income tax, namely by 1.5 times (+13.5 billion UAH), levy and personal income tax – 23.5 percent (+3.3 billion UAH), value added tax on products (works, services) produced in Ukraine, taking into account budget compensation – 16.8 percent (+2.9 billion UAH), excise tax on produced and imported goods (products) – 20.7 percent (+2.0 billion UAH), rent payment for the subsoil use of national importance – 19.6 percent (+0.9 billion UAH).
