State Tax Service continues international cooperation on the audit matters

Introduction of European standards in activities of tax authorities requires a qualitative approach, taking into account requirements of the National Revenue Strategy until 2030, approved by Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 1218 as of 27.12.2023. According to priority areas of work previously agreed upon with the IMF experts, employees of the State Tax Service participate in work of expert groups on revising provisions of current tax legislation of Ukraine.

Tax officials held series of online meetings with IMF expert Susan Betts to review legislation and discuss tax audit practices particularly in July 2024.

Participants work out a number of matters that arise during tax audits, discuss suggestions for further cooperation, taking into account tasks set by the National Revenue Strategy.

State Tax Service is interested in receiving expert assistance and implementing the best global practices, which is especially relevant on Ukraine's path to the European integration.

According to the mission results, the IMF experts will prepare Report on the results of work with the State Tax Service, which will contribute to adoption of effective decisions to improve level of service to the taxpayers.
