Reforms are ongoing: tax officials are expected to undergo changes in the organizational structure and remuneration

State Tax Service of Ukraine continues reforms within the framework of implementation of the National Revenue Strategy adopted at the end of last year. National Revenue Strategy foresees a series of changes not only in tax administration system, but also directly in reform of the Tax Service itself.

According to provisions of Strategy, the Government adopted Resolution amending the maximum number of employees of the State Tax Service’s bodies and their remuneration. It is assumed that such changes will contribute to the optimization of work of each employee of the Service, and decent level of payment will become a motivation for them to perform their obligations in a high-quality and professional manner.

In addition, increase in the salary level for tax officials will allow to attract qualified employees to system, who will consider the Tax Service as a prestigious place of work and powerful platform for improving their own professionalism.

As acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Tetiana Kiriienko noted, solving issue of increasing effectiveness of the Service's activities lies in plane of rational solutions. Therefore, employee motivation is one of the key aspects among a wide range of such solutions.
