Received fiscal check is a guarantee of consumer rights protection

State Tax Service of Ukraine reminds that legal basis for use of registrars of settlement operations and software registrars of settlement operations in trade, public catering and services is determined by the Law of Ukraine № 265/95-VR as of 06.07.1995 "On the use of registrars of settlement operations in trade, public catering and services" with changes.

However, not all taxpayers conscientiously comply with requirements of current legislation.

State Tax Service systematically receives complaints from citizens regarding the business entities’ failure to issue settlement documents (fiscal checks) that guarantee protection of consumer rights and confirm legitimate origin of products upon sale of household appliances, mobile devices, and other gadgets.

Presence of settlement document ensures, in particular, the possibility of exchange (replacement) in case of purchase of low-quality goods and after-sales (warranty) service of products by service centers.

Business entities are required to issue fiscal check to the buyer. Consumers should know that received check is their protection as a consumer and confirmation of tax payment.

If you are denied to receive fiscal check, your rights have been violated: you have been denied in protection. Tell about it publicly or notify the State Tax Service.

State Tax Service of Ukraine asks citizens to be aware and reminds of the possibility to inform the Tax Service at any time of the day, 24/7 and in any place through the "StopViolationBot" chatbot in Telegram messenger about known facts of legislative violations, including non-use of RRO/PRRO and failure to issue relevant settlement documents.
