State Tax Service transferred about 11 thousand cases of violations of labor legislation to the State Labor Service

State Tax Service of Ukraine recorded about 11 thousand cases of violations of labor legislation and transferred relevant materials to the State Labor Service of Ukraine in 2024 and January 2025. 

State Tax Service’s analysis showed that many employers are still trying to save on taxes by using illegal labor. 

How does it work?

Official salary is set at the minimum salary or even lower, and the employee receives remaining amount "in the envelope". 

This scheme creates serious risks for the employee. Employees may be "forget" to pay or only part of the promised salary is paid, and they are offered to forget about paid vacations and "sick leave".

Reminder! Liability of business entities that use unofficial hired labor is provided for by Part 2 Article 265 of the Labor Code of Ukraine.

Fines are assessed by the State Labor Service.
