Ruslan Kravchenko: State Tax Service has exceeded budget revenue plan for the second month in a row, by 12.1 billion UAH in February

For the second month in a row, tax revenues exceed revenue indicators set by the Ministry of Finance for the State Tax Service. According to operational information as of 19 hours 00 minutes, the overachievement in February is 12.1 billion UAH. Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko posted this on his Facebook page.

78.8 billion UAH was transferred to general fund of the state budget from payments controlled by the State Tax Service. Revenue indicator was fulfilled by 118.1%.

In total, the State Tax Service exceeded established revenue targets by 21.9 billion UAH (+16.5% compared to the plan in January – February). 

"Someone probably thought that the almost 10 billion overrun in January was a coincidence or a happy coincidence. But the numbers in February indicate the opposite. The main thing is to have a goal and work together as a team. Result will not be long in coming!" - emphasized Ruslan Kravchenko. 

According to him, the overfulfillment of schedule in February was due to high revenues from the VAT, excise duties and personal income tax.  

Particularly: 

- 26.2 billion UAH – personal income tax (+13.6%);

- 21.6 billion UAH – VAT revenue (+13.3%);

- more than 10.1 billion UAH – revenues from excise duty on Ukrainian products (alcohol, tobacco, fuel). Including exceeding the indicators from the excise tax revenue on tobacco products by 2.5 billion UAH (+62.6%).

- revenues from the excise tax on imported products almost doubled – 2.6 billion more UAH 

Significant amounts of the VAT refunds for the second month in a row. 13.1 billion UAH was refunded in February.

"Regarding blocking. We are actively implementing a set of measures to facilitate business activities. We are reducing a number of blocked tax invoices. But I do not advise those who seek to evade taxes to relax. If you do not pay, we will block. No one has canceled the counteraction against schemes. So, in February, a number of blocked tax invoices decreased to 0.39%, more than 9 thousand enterprises have been removed from the list of risky ones since the beginning of year" – added Head of the State Tax Service.
