Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko initiated broad meeting with Polish entrepreneurs to attract additional investments to Ukraine. He made this suggestion during meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Poland in Ukraine Piotr Lukasiewicz.
Parties discussed Poland’s priority tax questions during its presidency of the European Union Council, particularly cooperation in the counteraction against tax evasion and digitalization of tax administration.
Another important question is economic cooperation and support for Ukrainian and Polish entrepreneurs. Ruslan Kravchenko noted that today more than 1300 enterprises with varying shares of Polish capital are registered in Ukraine. Last year they paid almost 6.5 billion UAH to the consolidated budget.
"As of today there is a significant potential for development of Polish business in Ukraine. At the same time, I heard from our Polish friends that often obstacle to entry of new business into the Ukrainian market is not only difficult situation due to russian aggression, but also questions related to the tax system. I am sure that we must get rid of all artificial obstacles. State Tax Service is as open as possible to dialogue with both Ukrainian and foreign business. I suggested to hold broad meeting with Polish entrepreneurs in the near future. Not only those who are already working in Ukraine, but also those who are considering the possibility of entering Ukrainian market" – stated Head of the State Tax Service.
According to him, constant dialogue with business contributes to the inflow of investments, creation of working places, and improvement of technological processes. State Tax Service plans to hold similar meetings with Belgian business.
"I also raised question of signing a Memorandum of cooperation between tax authorities of Ukraine and Poland, primarily in terms of the European integration and tax information exchange. Enhanced exchange will help both countries effectively combat tax evasion and create equal conditions for all market participants" – added Ruslan Kravchenko.
Head of the State Tax Service thanked Polish partners for constructive dialogue and assistance in the fight against russian aggression.
