State Tax Service records a revival of business activity and increase in receipts turnover

State Tax Service of Ukraine publishes financial indicators for 2025, recording a steady increase in receipts turnover after traditional winter decline. Data indicate increase in business activity and in average daily receipts turnover in various sectors of the economy.

After the predicted decline in sales volumes in January 2025, which is observed annually after the peak December season, economic activity revived in February.

Average daily receipts turnover in February increased by 10% compared to January – from 12.7 billion UAH to 14 billion UAH. Total number of checks for two months amounted to 1.533 billion, which indicates increase in purchasing activity.

One of the most dynamic segments has become the fuel market, where there has been a steady increase in sales volumes.

19.69 million liters of fuel were sold through registrars of settlement operations in February, which is 9.3% more than in January (18.01 million liters).

Total cost of sold fuel in the first two months of 2025 exceeded 56.9 billion UAH. Such indicators may indicate increase in fuel consumption by business and population, as well as un-shadowing of the market, which is indicator of economic recovery and fair competition.

Alcohol and tobacco segments show stable growth. Sales of alcoholic beverages in February increased by 1.9%, reaching 393.5 million UAH (versus 386.1 million UAH in January). There are more than 100 thousand licenses for the retail alcohol sale in Ukraine. Sales of tobacco products increased by 2.7%, rising from UAH 334.8 million in January to UAH 343.7 million in February. Total revenue from sales of tobacco products and liquids for electronic cigarettes has already exceeded 20 billion UAH. Number of licenses for sale of tobacco products and electronic cigarettes is more than 75 thousand.  

Consumer electronics market demonstrated significant financial results. Total revenue from the sale of household appliances for two months of 2025 amounted to 31.12 billion UAH. Revenue reached 16.2 billion UAH in January, 14.92 billion UAH in February. Gambling business also shows significant financial turnover. Total revenue from the gambling business exceeded 8.49 billion UAH. Amount was 4.39 billion UAH January, 4.09 billion UAH in February.

Positive dynamics are observed in many sectors, which indicates stability of the economy even in the wartime conditions.
