Sale of branded clothes with pseudo-checks: tax evasion scheme through fake RRO has been exposed

Employees of the State Tax Sax Service have exposed a business entity in Kyiv that sold branded clothes for cash, allegedly using illegal software to hide real sales volumes.

During the monitoring of settlement transactions in a trade sector, a store was discovered where customers received pseudo-fiscal checks marked as "Operation mode: Online". However, these transactions were not recorded in the RRO Data accounting system, which indicates attempt to reduce taxation object.

Tax officials confirmed use of special software that simulates work of legal software RRO and allows data manipulation, distorting tax reporting.

Such actions harm the state budget and create unequal conditions for honest business.

Business entity will face fines. In addition, tax officials will transfer information about violations detected to the law enforcement agencies for legal assessment and appropriate response measures.

State Tax Service calls on all entrepreneurs to work transparently and use only officially registered RRO without interfering in their work in order to avoid financial and criminal liability.
