136 billion UAH of the personal income tax in the I quarter of 2025: payment increased by 22.6% compared to the last year

Taxpayers paid 136 billion UAH of the personal income tax during January – March of this year. Payment increased by 22.6% or by more than 25 billion UAH compared to the same period last year. 111 billion UAH was transferred in the first quarter of last year.

Regions – leaders in the payment terms:

Kyiv – 32.3 billion UAH,

Dnipropetrovsk region – 13.5 billion UAH,

Lviv region – 9.2 billion UAH,

Kyiv region – 7.9 billion UAH. 

Personal income tax makes up the lion’s share of local budget revenues. Its rate is 18% of accrued citizens’ income: salaries, bonuses, other additional payments and payments under the civil law contracts. Therefore, by receiving official salary from which taxes are deducted, the one cares about development of region and social support for its citizens.

Reminder! If you received income last year from which taxes were not paid, you must submit property and income by declaration May 1, 2025.
