186.4 billion UAH of the personal income tax since the beginning of 2025: payment increased by 22.1% compared to the last year

Payers transferred 186.4 billion UAH of the personal income tax during January – April 2025. Payment increased by 22.1% or more than 33.7 billion UAH compared to the same period last year. 152.7 billion UAH was transferred in the first four months of 2024.

Regions – leaders in the payment terms:

Kyiv – 44.2 billion UAH,

Dnipropetrovsk region – 18.5 billion UAH,

Lviv region – 12.7 billion UAH,

Kyiv region – 10.8 billion UAH. 

Personal income tax makes up the “lion's” share of local budget revenues. Its rate is 18% of accrued income of citizens: salaries, bonuses, other additional payments and payments under the civil law contracts. Therefore, by receiving official salary from which taxes are deducted, citizens care about development of region and social support for its citizens.

Reminder! Citizens have the possibility of taking advantage of tax discount. This right is provided for the personal income tax payers who, during the year, incurred expenses subject to compensation from the budget. 

Documents for receiving tax discount for expenses 2024 can be submitted until December 31, 2025.
