The first quarter of 2025 ended with increase in revenues from the so-called “Google tax”. Non-residents that provide electronic services to Ukrainian consumers paid VAT to the budget in the amount of 39.6 million euros and 43.4 million US dollars in January – March of this year.
This was informed by Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko in the Telegram channel.
According to him, in the UAH equivalent this is more than 3.5 billion hryvnias as of April 1.
“This is +9.5 million euros and +8.9 million US dollars compared to the same period last year. 121 individuals submitted relevant reports. Number of registered payers increased by 26 new participants” – he stated.
136 non-resident companies in Ukraine have already been registered as the VAT payers as of January 1, 2022.
Top payers are:
Apple, Google, Valve, Meta, Sony, Etsy, Netflix, Wargaming, Bolt, OpenAI, Ebay, etc.
“I thank all the taxpayers who support civilized work rules and pay taxes. It is not only about additional revenues to the budget, which are extremely necessary in the war times. Today, together, we are ensuring fair competition between Ukrainian and international companies” – noted Ruslan Kravchenko.
