238.9 billion UAH of the personal income tax since the beginning of 2025: payment increased by 21.8% compared to the last year

Taxpayers paid 238.9 billion UAH of the personal income tax during January – May of this year. Payment increased by 21.8% or almost 42.7 billion UAH compared to the same period last year. 196.2 billion UAH was transferred in the first five months of last year.

Regions – leaders in payment:

Kyiv – 56.2 billion UAH,

Dnipropetrovsk region – 23.7 billion UAH,

Lviv region – 16.2 billion UAH,

Kyiv region – 14.1 billion UAH.

Personal income tax makes up the “lion’s” share of local budget revenues. Its rate is 18% of accrued citizens’ income: salaries, bonuses, other additional payments and payments under the civil law contracts. Therefore, by receiving official salary from which taxes are deducted, there is a care about development of your region and social support for its citizens.

We would like to remind citizens about the opportunity to take advantage of tax discount. This right is provided for the personal income tax payers who, during the year, incurred expenses subject to compensation from the budget.

Documents for receiving tax discount for expenses in 2024 can be submitted until December 31, 2025.
