Introduction of the SAF-T UA: State Tax Service and American Chamber of Commerce discussed practical aspects of forming and submitting the file

Representatives of the State Tax Service and American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine discussed introduction peculiarities of the standard audit file SAF-T UA (Standard Audit File for Tax) during the meeting.

Tax officials explained key functioning aspects of the SAF-T UA file as a modern electronic audit tool that meets recommendations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and takes into account national accounting characteristics.

Attention was focused on benefits of the system for business:

increasing transparency and simplifying tax control procedures;

reducing administrative burden on the taxpayers;

ensuring effective interaction between business and tax authorities based on digital solutions.

Representatives of the State Tax Service also provided answers to practical questions regarding procedure for forming, sending, receiving and processing the SAF-T UA file.

Participants emphasized importance of dialogue between business and the State Tax Service for successful introduction of the SAF-T UA file. Need for testing the system, providing methodological support to the taxpayers and developing practical skills in using the new tool was especially noted.

Following the meeting results, the parties agreed to further joint work on the practical introduction aspects of the SAF-T UA file and to conduct additional consultations to minimize possible technical and procedural questions.
