8.7 billion UAH of the real estate tax: payment increased by almost 22% in January – August

Property owners paid 22% more property tax this year than in January – August last year. Almost 8.7 billion UAH was transferred to local budgets, which is 1.6 billion UAH more than the corresponding figure in 2024.

Among the payment leaders:

Kyiv city – 1.74 billion UAH,

Kyiv region – 0.86 billion UAH,

Dnipropetrovsk region – 0.84 billion UAH,

Odesa region – 0.83 billion UAH.

In total, 740 thousand payers paid the real estate tax during January – August.

In 2025, the tax is paid by citizens for the reporting year 2024. Use online calculator on the State Tax Service’s web portal – https://tax.gov.ua/calculator/realty

Real estate tax is paid by individuals – owners of:

- apartments with area of ​​​​more than 60 square meters;

- houses with area of ​​​​​​​​more than 120 square meters;

- other various types of housing, including their shares, of ​​​​more than 180 square meters.

It is possible to view generated tax notifications-decisions in the Electronic cabinet, if a person has electronic key or by using the mobile application "My Tax Service".
