Lesya Karnaukh: made in Ukraine is also about how business helps the state fight

Acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh in Poltava took part in a meeting of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko together with ministers and parliamentarians with business of the region.

“Made in Ukraine is not only about supporting our producers, it is also about how business helps the state fight. After all, every UAH of taxes is a contribution to our defense capability” – Lesya Karnaukh noted.

Many of the participants in a dialogue are manufacturing enterprises. It is the processing industry that is a stable leader in tax payments.

“Their work provided 17.6% of revenues to the state budget. However, every industry in Ukraine lives in challenging conditions, therefore it needs incentive tools and clear operation rules” – added acting Head of the State Tax Service.

They also talked about problems that concern business, in particular, those related to taxes.

Entrepreneurs were interested in whether excise rates on fuel would change and the prospects for taxation of parcels up to 150 euros.

“The ball is in the legislators’ court here. Together with business, we share desire for a predictable tax policy. Predictability, simplification of procedures and high-quality communication are important components of cooperation between business and the state. Economic development and financial stability of the state depend on this two-way movement” – Lesya Karnaukh summarized.
