In Turkey, force majeure certificates are issued only by chambers of commerce and industry

In Turkey, force majeure certificates are issued only by regional chambers of commerce and industry of this country at the case location.

This official response was provided by the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of the Republic of Turkey at request of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

According to provided information, ministries, embassies and Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of the Republic of Turkey (abb. TOBB) do not have relevant authority to issue such certificates.

Conclusions of other authorities may be relevant only within their competence, but do not replace certificates.

State Tax Service draws the taxpayers’ attention to importance of correct document preparation.

Received information will allow the State Tax Service to ensure unified approach for conducting documentary audits and reduce number of groundless disputes.
