Lesya Karnaukh: launch of the automated system has already allowed collection of more than 100 million UAH of tax debt from legal entities

Launch of the automated system has already allowed collection of more than 100 million UAH of tax debt from legal entities. This was stated by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh in the LIGA.net interview.

This tax debt amount has been collected from more than 2 thousand enterprises. Lesya Karnaukh said that this is about the automatic tax debt collection from legal entities using electronic payment instructions. This tool is provided for by the National Revenue Strategy and has been operating for only two months, but is already demonstrating stable positive dynamics. 

“Before the launch of this system, for example, the enterprise was recorded as having tax debt. We sent a paper payment instruction to the bank where the debtor had account to collect. And the story began: either there were no funds or other difficulties” – Lesya Karnaukh noted.

New system completely changes approach – now everything happens automatically and transparently.

“Everything is generated, formed, interconnected. A button was pressed, it flew through treasury to the financial institution. Funds on the account – were collected” – emphasized acting Head of the State Tax Service.

New system minimizes human factor, speeds up the process and increases effectiveness of combating tax arrears.
