79.4 billion UAH of taxes and levies was received by general fund of the state budget in January

General fund of the state budget received 79.4 billion UAH of taxes and levies controlled by the State Tax Service in January 2026 (91.8% of the plan). This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page. 

"Beginning of the new year turned out to be extremely difficult: lack of light, heat, constant enemy shelling. However, despite all the challenges, Ukrainian business has been and remains a responsible taxpayer" – Lesya Karnaukh stated. 

The biggest amount of the VAT was refunded in January, namely 24.3 billion UAH. The last year, average monthly refunding amounted to 15 billion UAH. 

In total, the VAT payments amounted to 58.9 billion UAH.

Key figures in January: 

- personal income tax – 29.2 billion UAH,

- corporate income tax – 3.3 billion UAH,

- excise tax (on manufactured and imported products) – 7.3 billion UAH,

- rent payments – 4.1 billion UAH,

- other revenues – 0.9 billion UAH.

"Unfortunately, russian military aggression could not but affected amount of paid taxes. Negative consequences are already felt in a number of basic industries. And our task is to help everyone who works for the country’s economy and budget as much as possible" – added acting Head of the State Tax Service.
