Draft project eCheck is launched in Ukraine – state service of digital fiscal check. State Tax Service joined implementation of the program.
The eCheck service allows customers to receive digital fiscal check directly in their bank’s mobile application after making a card payment in a store or online.
The check, as before, is formed and fiscalized by the seller and stored in the state accounting system, but is transferred to the client in the electronic form.
The eCheck draft started for clients of the PrivatBank, PUMB, VST Bank and monobank in the Aurora, Fora, Auchan retail chains and at the Ukrnafta gas stations.
During the draft phase, both paper and electronic checks will be used simultaneously.
Introduction of the service allows:
buyers – it is convenient to store checks in the electronic format without the risk of losing them, which is important for returning products, warranty service and cost control;
sellers – to optimize costs for paper, printing and cash register maintenance.
Business entities are invited to join the draft eCheck testing.
Entrepreneurs who use RRO or PRRO and accept non-cash payments can participate. Joining the project is voluntary and allows business entities to adapt to the use of digital checks in advance.
To connect, it is needed to submit application for participation in the program, perform appropriate settings for the RRO or PRRO, and inform employees about working with the new service.
Detailed explanations, setup instructions and application form are available on the official project resource: https://echeck.me.gov.ua/sellers .
The e-Cheque introduction is phased and involves gradual expansion of the range of banks and business entities.
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, State Tax Service of Ukraine and National Bank of Ukraine in a partnership with the Mastercard, as well as with support of the international payment technology company Visa and national payment system Prostir.
