During January-December 2019, specialists of the Main Directorate of the STS in Trans Carpathian region conducted 352 audits of business entities that carry out the sale of alcohol and tobacco products. According to the results of audits the number of 281 violations was exposed, violations fall under the Law of Ukraine “On the state regulation of production and turnover of ethanol, cognac and fruit alcohol, alcohol beverages, tobacco products and fuel” as of 19.12.1995 № 481 and applied financial sanctions in the amount of 4150.6 thousand UAH to violators. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the STS in Trans Carpathian region.
Particularly, amount of financial sanctions on the sale of trade of alcohol beverages at prices below the set minimum wholesale or retail prices has amounted 610 thousand UAH; amount of financial sanctions for the retail sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products without relevant license – 942.1 thousand UAH; for storage of excisable goods at places not registered in the Unified State Register – 136 thousand UAH.
179.5 thousand UAH of financial sanctions were applied for storage (sale) of alcohol beverages unmarked with excise tax stamps; 34 thousand UAH of financial sanctions were applied for storage, sale of alcohol beverages using containers that do not meet the requirements of applicable law without the excise duty stamps; 20 thousand UAH of financial sanctions were applied for sale of tobacco products at prices higher than the maximum retail prices; 530.4 thousand UAH of financial sanctions were applied for sale of alcohol beverages by bottling for consumption at place in the department store that does not have status of catering entity.
Also, tax specialists exposed 5 facts regarding the sale of fuel by the retail entities without relevant licenses. Amount of financial sanctions for these violations has amounted 1.3 million UAH.
In addition, according to the results of audits tax specialists abolished 25 licenses on the sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products for cases of sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco to individuals under 18 years old.
