According to the results of explanatory and control-audit measures conducted by the Tax service in Zaporizhzhia region, the number of 9148 employees has been officially employed in 2019. Acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Ruslan Rachynskyi stated that the tax specialists held seminars, round tables and working meetings with employers, during which they explained the necessity of employment.
Ruslan Rachynskyi noted that the vast majority of employees were voluntarily legalized and employed by business executives and entrepreneurs after the preventive explanatory work. 9005 employees received more than 38 million UAH – this is 4200 UAH in average per worker. Additional revenues to the budgets and social funds have amounted nearly 16 million UAH, in particular, 8.4 million UAH of the single social contribution, 6.9 million UAH of the personal income tax and 600 thousand UAH of military levy.
In addition, tax specialists conducted 273 audits of companies that had risks regarding the non-payment of taxes and fees upon the payroll of income to citizens. As a result, 143 individuals who worked without proper employment were identified. Audit materials were sent to the State Labor Department for relevant measures.
For example, at once 18 unemployed workers have been identified by the tax specialists during the unscheduled audit of one entrepreneur who provided trucking services. Another example is a catering establishments where used labor of 11 unemployed citizens. Now these employers have administrative liabilities.
Tax specialists note that at present joint work of supervisory authorities on the legalization of wages is intensified, so Zaporizhzhia employers, who do not comply with the requirements of the law, should take care about official employment of their employees.
