Employers of Odessa region transferred 917.6 million UAH of the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance to the state budget in January 2020 – this is 115.9 million UAH more than in 2019.
“14.5% increase in revenues of the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance is both result of employers’ responsible attitude towards paying this tax, realization of the citizens’ right for official employment and measures on “un-shadowing” of wages taken by the tax authorities jointly with other services” – stated acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region Volodymyr Astrieiko.
More than 310 thousand legal entities and individuals-entrepreneurs who use the work of hired individuals pay the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance as of 01.02.2020 in Odessa region. More than 70% of the total amount was made by individuals-entrepreneurs, more than 220 thousand individuals and the rest are legal entities - more than 90 thousand individuals.
It should be reminded that the basic rate for the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance is 22%. Herewith, the minimum insurance contribution is 1039.06 UAH (4723 UAH x 22%) in 2020. Single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance is paid quarterly, up to the 20th of the month following the reporting month or monthly, in the form of advanced payment up to the 20th.
“Timely and full payment of the single social contribution is not only a duty to the state but also citizens’ guaranteed right for social protection. Each officially employed worker, every UAH of taxes paid from wages, strengthens the economy of Odessa region and promotes social standards” – emphasizes Volodymyr Astrieiko.
