State budget received 26.2 million UAH of the excise tax in January 2020 – this is 48% or 8.5 million UAH more than in the corresponding period 2019.
Including payment of the tax from excisable products produced in Ukraine, its producers paid 25.9 million UAH and 0.3 million UAH from excisable products imported to the customs territory of Ukraine.
Representatives of the retail trade of excisable goods paid 26.8 million UAH of the excise tax to local budgets out of the total amount. Payment of the specified tax has increased by 25.4% or 5.4 million UAH compared to the corresponding period of 2019.
103 excise tax payers (including 15 importers and 33 exporters of excisable products), 208 fuel taxpayers, 5 electricity taxpayers and 4078 retailers of excisable products (3414 individuals and 664 legal entities) are registered in Odessa region as of 01.02.2020.
Also it should be reminded that in order to facilitate feedback from citizens and promptly respond to possible violations, the State Tax Service is working to provide consumers with an opportunity to report about the absence of the excise tax stamp in the Register directly on the STS web portal.
This service allows every Ukrainian citizen to check the legality of origin of alcohol beverages and tobacco products and therefore - to execute the public control over the turnover of excisable products.
