Main Directorate of the STS in Poltava region reported that as of 01.02.2020, the number of 478 citizens submitted property and income tax declarations for 2019. Of these, 445 citizens who were obliged to submit the tax declaration and 33 are eligible to obtain the tax rebate. Kremenchuk administration is among the leaders in number of declarants (166 citizens).
Total amount of citizens’ declared income is 12 million 6911.6 thousand UAH. S elf-determined amount of the personal income tax liability is 1 million 703.2 thousand UAH, the military levy – 312.2 thousand UAH.
Herewith, it should be reminded that declaring income is citizens’ constitutional obligation (Part 2 Article 67 of the Constitution of Ukraine). According to the requirements of the Tax Code of Ukraine, taxpayers are obliged or enabled (in order to obtain the tax rebate) to submit an annual tax property and income declaration in appropriate cases.
Declaration must be submitted by the 1st of May 2020 to the controlling body at the place of registration by citizens who are obliged to declare their income.
Tax declaration is submitted by the taxpayers in one of the following ways (optional):
- personally or by an authorized individual;
- is sent by post with a delivery note and description of the attachment;
- by means of electronic communication in electronic form, in compliance with the requirements of the laws on electronic document workflow and electronic digital signature (EDS), using the taxpayer’s electronic cabinet on the official web portal of the STS of Ukraine in the menu of electronic services.
Usage of the taxpayer’s “E-cabinet” allows to save the time regarding the submission of reports and receiving information on the amounts of accrued income and withheld taxes necessary to fill in the declaration.
