In January 2020, revenues of the value added tax in Zaporizhzhia region exceeded the last year’s figures by 52.6 million UAH or 16%. Acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Ruslan Rachynskyi reported that companies and entrepreneurs transferred 375.6 million UAH of the VAT to the state budget in January 2020. Increase in the level of payments was achieved due to an increase in the volume of deliveries for a billion UAH compared to January 2019; accordingly, the VAT accruals have increased.
Most of the paid tax was provided by business entities of Zaporizhzhia city - 222 million UAH, Berdyansk and seaside enterprises and individuals – entrepreneurs transferred 24.6 million UAH to the state treasury, Melitopol and Veselivskyi - 24.2 million UAH, Pologovskyi, Bilmatskyi and Roziv - 16.8 million UAH, Tokmak and Chernihiv - 15.5 million UAH, Vilnyanskyi and Novomykolaiv - 14.8 million UAH, Energodar, Kamyansko-Dniprovski and Velikobelozerski – 14.6 million UAH, etc.
As of the beginning of February 2020, there were 10342 VAT taxpayers in the region (9387 business entities – legal entities, 955 individuals–entrepreneurs) – this is half a thousand more than in the same period of 2019.
