Donetsk region ensures steady revenues of the VAT in 2020 due to effective administration of the value-added tax, quality analytical work in the sphere of prevention and destruction of tax minimization schemes conducted by the Tax service.
As a result, the VAT revenues in January 2020 exceeded the last year’s revenues by 59.3 million UAH or 20.7%.
Overall, business representatives of Donetsk region transferred 346.1 million UAH of the value added tax to the state budget in January 2020.
It should be reminded that there are 7473 VAT payers in the territory of Donetsk region (6924 business entities – legal entities, 549 individuals – entrepreneurs) as of the beginning of February 2020.
Most of the transferred tax was provided by business entities of Mariupol city – 108.7 million UAH, by the business community of Bakhmut city who transferred 48.9 million UAH to the state treasury and entrepreneurs of Kramatorsk city – 43.2 million UAH.
In addition, since the beginning of 2020, the total amount of the VAT reimbursement has amounted 35.5 million UAH, of which according to the results of documentary checks 16.7 million UAH and according to the results of actual audits – 18.8 million UAH.
Main Directorate of the STS in Donetsk region emphasizes that the main vector of activity of Donetsk Tax service is achievement of European standards of administration transparency. Due to the constant improvement of quality and introduction of new VAT administration approaches, the opportunities for manipulating this tax are becoming less and less transparent every day and process of reimbursement becomes more transparent and automatic.
