Taxpayers have transferred 26 million 233.5 thousand UAH of the land payment to the local budgets of Ternopil region since the beginning of 2020. This exceeded expected revenues by 22.3%. As a result, the budgets received additional 4.8 million UAH. Compared to January 2019, this payment has increased by 5.4 million UAH or 26.2%.
Almost 88 percent of the payment is a contribution transferred by the legal entities. After all, they have paid more than 23 million UAH of the land payments since the beginning of the year – this is 5.3 million UAH more than expected. Compared to 2019, this year’s revenues of payments have increased by 5.5 million UAH.
Individuals supplemented the treasury of local communities by payments in the amount of 3 million 204.7 thousand UAH of the land payment.
It is appropriate to remind that, in accordance with the provisions of the Tax Code of Ukraine, the landowners and land users pay the land tax from date of the ownership or right to use the land.
Land-paying legal entities independently calculate amount of the tax annually as of the 1st of January and submit tax declaration for the current year to the tax authorities at location of the land plots not later than 20th of February of the current year. This exempts the one from obligation regarding submitting such reports on a monthly basis.
