Excisable Goods Turnover and Taxation Control Department of the Main Directorate of the STS in Chernihiv region reported that during 45 audits of business entities involved in the retail sale of alcohol beverages, tobacco products and fuel the number of 34 violations were identified. As follows, was accepted a decision on application of penalties towards violators in the amount of 711 thousand UAH.
Among the most common violations, experts specify storage of alcohol beverages labeled with excise tax stamps with signs of forgery. By the way, in case of confirmation of the excise tax stamps authenticity, the penalty for such violation starts from 17 thousand UAH. Number of 17 such violations has been detected since the beginning of the year, most of them in Chernihiv city, as well as in the Nosiskyiv and Ichnianskyi districts of Chernihiv region.
List of other violations detected in the region included: retail sale of alcohol beverages and fuel without a relevant license, violation of storage conditions, detection of the excise tax stamps forgery signs, violation of requirements of city councils to limit the sale of alcohol beverages during the established time of day, retail sale of alcohol beverages at prices below the set minimum and others.
Since the beginning of the year, 2 licenses for the retail sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products have been revoked based on the facts of sale of alcohol / tobacco to individuals under 18 years old.
Tax officials emphasize that the purchase of alcohol beverages should only be carried out at specialized licensed outlets. It is important to remember that appropriate excise tax stamp should be present on the bottle and also it important that today the minimum retail price per one bottle of 0.5l vodka with 40% strength is 89.40 UAH.
