Employers of Odessa region transferred 1.9 billion UAH of the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance to the budget in January-February 2020 – this is 260 million UAH more than revenues in January-February 2019.
“Increase of payment for 16% is both the result of employers’ responsible attitude towards payment of the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance, execution of citizens’ right for official employment and measures to “un-shadow” the wages conducted by tax officials” – commented acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region Volodymyr Astrieiko.
As of 01.03.2020 the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance is paid by more than 312 thousand legal entities and entrepreneurs who use the work of hired employees – which is 22 thousand more than as of 01.03.2019.
“Timely and full payment of the single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance is not only a duty to the state but also guaranteed citizens’ right for social protection. Each officially employed employee, every UAH of taxes paid from wages, strengthens Ukrainian economy and help to raise social standards” – emphasized Volodymyr Astrieiko.
