Taxpayers of Ternopil region transferred 47.8 million UAH of the military levy to the state budget for the country’s defense capability during January-February 2020. This was reported by acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region Valerii Lisnytskyi. “Revenues from this levy have increased by 7.4 million UAH compared to the same period in 2019 ” – stated acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region.
Only in February, the taxpayers of Ternopil region transferred 20.2 million UAH of the military levy to army’s needs.
Valerii Lisnytskyi also reminded that the military levy has been introduced in Ukraine since August 2014. Its rate is 1.5% of taxable income. Taxpayers of the military levy are individuals-residents and non-residents who earn income in Ukraine.
“It should be in mind that Ukrainian army will receive stable funds to solve urgent issues only through legal employment – emphasized Tax official. – That is why, we urge employers to prevent facts of “shadow” employment. After all, improperly formed labor relations deprive employees of social guarantees, reduce the state budget revenues and therefore the possibility of strengthening the country’s defense capability.”
