Owners of luxury cars paid 1 million 534.8 thousand UAH of the transport tax to local budget during two month of 2020 in Vinnytsia region. According to acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Vinnytsia region Oleh Martyniuk, the specified amount was is 332.1 thousand UAH or 27.6% more than expected.
Herewith, the amount of paid tax has increased by 19.4 thousand UAH or by 1.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2019.
Official reminds that the transport tax is 100% credited to local budgets. According to Ukrainian legislation, the transport tax is levied on passenger cars which have not exceeded five years (inclusively) since the year of issue and the average market cost of which exceeds 375 minimum wages established on the 1st of January of the tax (reporting) year. The transport tax rate is 25 thousand UAH per year per one such car.
It should be added that that among the prestigious brands of cars for which individuals – residents of Vinnitsa region most often pay the transport tax are: MERCEDES-BENZ, AUDI, LAND ROVER and RANGE ROVER.
