According to the results of the first quarter of 2020, the tax contribution from Volyn taxpayers to the state treasury exceeded 1 billion UAH of the tax payments administered by the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region.
Specifically, Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region reported that general fund of the state budget received 1 billion 61 million UAH taxes during January-March 2020.
Thus, amount paid by business entities to the state budget is 19.4% higher than during the same period in 2019.
“First billion transferred to the state budget within the economic slowdown which is more 172 million UAH of additional tax payments for the state needs comparing to actual indicators of the 1st quarter of 2019, is definitely a positive result. Words of gratitude for such a responsible position deserve business representatives who, despite their socio-economic difficulties, fulfill their obligations in good faith. I assure that the STS specialists fulfill their duties in the sphere of tax administration in the same good faith” – stated acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Oleh Hyrykovych.
Tax official emphasized that the Tax service is purposefully working to un-shadow business entities that try to evade taxation.
“In fact, significant revenues growth is the best proof of quality administration. Equal conditions and fair competition for socially responsible business and effective counteraction against those who work dishonestly – is always topical and priority task for tax specialists” – summarized Oleh Hyrykovych.
