Volyn residents, who reported income for 2019, have already paid 8.3 million UAH of the personal income tax and 1.2 million of the military levy to the budget.
In total, Volyn declarants determined payable 14.5 million UAH of tax payments.
“Due to the restrictive measures imposed in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, declarations have recently been submitted mainly through the Electronic cabinet. In fact, this is exactly the format of communication with the Tax service which protects everyone from the threat of infection. It is pleasant to note that citizens have mastered this form of communication with the STS’s specialists quite successfully. So it will not be superfluous to remind those who have not yet reported income that paying taxes is a duty of every citizen on whom the economic development of our state depends.” – emphasized Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Svitlana Savchuk.
Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region outlined that submitting the annual tax declaration through the Electronic cabinet does not require special training – every user of the personal computer can do it with a qualified public key certificate.
“The electronic key, which can be obtained from the State Tax Service or generated from another service provider, opens a wide range of opportunities for online communication with controlling bodies. Remote interaction is especially relevant during the pandemic. We ask taxpayers to join the use of modern information technology, in particular, declaring income” – summarized Svitlana Savchuk.
It will be recalled that the constitutional obligation to submit the annual property and income declaration for 2019 must be fulfilled by July 1, 2020.
Almost 3.3 thousand Volyn residents have already submitted annual income tax declarations for 2019.
