Since the beginning of 2020, the number of 226 Kherson notaries and lawyers involved in independent professional activity has declared their last year’s assets totaling 23.2 million UAH (as of June 22, 2020). This was reported by specialists of the Individuals taxes and duties department of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city.
According to the requirements of tax legislation, the taxpayers independently determined payable tax liabilities from the personal income tax in the amount of 4.1 million UAH and 347 thousand UAH of the military levy.
Reminder: according to Paragraph 178.1 of the Tax Code, individuals who intend to carry out private notarial activity are required to register at the tax bodies at the place of permanent residence as self-employed individuals and obtain registration certificate.
Private notaries and lawyers submit the tax declaration by July 1, 2020. Final calculation of the personal income tax for the reporting tax year is carried out by a private notary independently in accordance with the data specified in tax declaration and takes into account the documented expenses.
Private notary is obliged to pay the amount of tax liability specified in submitted tax declaration independently by October 1, 2020.
