Enterprises – polluters of Zaporizhzhia region paid 122 million 500 thousand UAH of the environmental tax during 5 months of 2020 (excluding indicators of large enterprises serviced by the Zaporizhzhia Department of the Large Taxpayers Office of the STS).
Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Roman Afonov reported that out of paid the amount, the state budget received more than 66 million UAH and the local budget received more than 56 million UAH of the eco-tax.
The biggest sums were transferred from business entities of Energodar city, Kamyansko-Dniprovskyi and Velykobilozerskyi districts – almost 100 million UAH, Zaporizhzhia district – more than 9 million UAH, Zaporizhzhia city – 4.8 million UAH, Melitopol city, Melitopolskyi and Veselivskyi districts – more than 2 million UAH, Berdyansk city, Berdyanskyi and Primorskyi districts – 1.7 million UAH and Polohivskyi, Bilmatskyi and Rozivskyi districts – 1.4 million UAH.
The environmental tax is paid by enterprises that, on the basis of special permits, emit pollutants into the atmosphere, water bodies or dispose the wastes. Environmental tax rates depend on the type of pollutants or the level of the waste’s hazard. 2482 polluting enterprises are registered on the territory of Zaporizhzhia region.
