Local budgets of Donetsk region received 45.5 million UAH of the real estate other than land tax during the 1st half of 2020.
More than a third of all real estate tax revenues in the Donetsk region were provided by payers of Mariupol city, their contribution in 2020 has already amounted almost 16.5 million UAH.
Legal entities paid 32.1 million UAH during the 1st half of 2020, including 10.9 million UAH received from payers-legal entities of Mariupol city.
As for individuals – real estate owners, during January – June 2020, they transferred real estate tax in the mount of 13.4 million UAH, which is 0.3 million UAH more than during the same period in 2019.
Payers of this tax are all owners of private and commercial real estate, regardless of whether they are residents or not. All apartments with area of more than 60 square meters, private houses of more than 120 square meters and if the one owns both – 180 square meters are subject to taxation. However, the tax is paid only for the area that exceeds the preferential. Tax rates and benefits are set by local self-governments.
It should be reminded that the real estate other than land tax is payable within 60 days from the date of receipt of the tax notification-decision.
