Result of the 1st half of 2020 is 2 billion 88 million UAH of the personal income tax paid to the budgets of all levels in Volyn region. As follows, from legally paid salaries and other official revenues, the budgets received by 2.7% of the personal income tax more comparing to the same period in 2019.
As personal income tax belongs to the budget-generating payments of local communities, the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Volyn region warns business representatives against the use of improperly hired labor.
“Only 533 million UAH of the paid personal income tax was directed to the state budget. The remaining amounts are the income of local communities used to address pressing issues. Therefore, if the community wants to have a stable and predictable source of income, it is necessary to take care of the official employment of all employees without exception. It is the leaders of local self-government who have full information about ongoing business projects. It is important that all involved employees have a working place” – emphasized Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Svitlana Savchuk.
According to the Head of Volyn tax specialists, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the real sector of economy is experiencing significant difficulties, respectively the filling of budgets is decreasing.
“However, the corona crisis is not a reason to go into the “shadow”. According to the tax administration practice, maximum support for legal business and active counteraction against minimization, particularly, the so-called salary taxes help to overcome negative trends. We truly thank those business representatives who comply with the law and pay official salary. Thanks to such a responsible position, budgets receive funds and citizens – social protection”– summarized Svitlana Savchuk.
