Local budgets of Ternopil region received 1.519.1 thousand UAH of the transport tax during the 1st half of 2020, which exceeded the expected revenues by 36%. As a result, the communities’ treasuries of Ternopil region received additional 401.8 thousand UAH of this property payment.
Of the total amount of revenues, 661.2 thousand UAH of the tax was paid by citizens – owners of luxury cars and 858 thousand UAH was transferred by legal entities. The increase in expected payments amounted 86.2 thousand UAH and 315.7 thousand UAH, respectively or by 15% and 58.2% more.
Reminder! The transport tax payers are individuals and legal entities, including non-residents, who have their own cars registered in Ukraine in accordance with current legislation, from the year of issue of which not more than five years have passed (inclusively) and the average market value of which is more than 375 minimum wages established by the law on January 1 of the tax (reporting) year (in 2020 this amount is 1 million 771 thousand 125 UAH; in 2019 – 1 million 564 thousand 875 UAH).
The tax rate is set per calendar year in the amount of 25 thousand UAH for each car that is subject to taxation.
