The state budget received 1 billion 399 million UAH of the value added tax from Donetsk region during January – June 2020.
Comparing to 2019, Donetsk region’s business has significantly increased the VAT deductions – additional revenues amounted more than 181 million UAH.
As of 01.07.2020, a total of 6685 VAT payers – legal entities and 571 business entities – individuals have been registered in the region.
Almost a third of the total VAT amount was paid by companies and entrepreneurs of Mariupol city, namely 453.4 million UAH. The second and third places were taken by the business community of Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk cities – 201.5 million UAH and 170.5 million UAH, respectively.
Main Directorate of the STS in Donetsk region draws attention to the fact that the Law of Ukraine as of 16.01.2020 №466-IX “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine to improve tax administration, eliminate technical and logical inconsistencies in tax legislation” introduced a number of changes that improve the administration of value added tax. In particular, a single reporting period is introduced for VAT reporting – a calendar month (including the single tax payers) in order to simplify VAT administration, apply a single approach to the formation of reporting indicators and their reflection in the STS’s information systems.
