Zaporizhzhia companies and entrepreneurs transferred 1 billion 771 million UAH of the value added tax to the state budget during January – June 2020 (excluding data from large enterprises serviced by the Zaporizhzhia Department of the STS’s Large taxpayers office). This was reported by Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Roman Afonov who emphasized that business representatives have increased payments comparing to the last year’s figure by 190 million UAH or 12%.
Only in June 2020, a quarter of a billion UAH of the VAT was transfrred to the state treasury.
During the 1st half of 2020, most of the revenues were provided by the taxpayers of Zaporizhzhia city, namely 987 million UAH. Business entities of Berdyansk city, Berdyanskyi and Primorskyi districts transferred 140 million UAH to the budget, Melitopol city, Melitopolskyi and Veselivskyi districts – 138 million UAH, Polohivskyi, Bilmatskyi and Rozivskyi districts - almost 77 million UAH, Vilnyanskyi, Novomykolayivskyi districts – 74.6 million UAH, Orikhivskyi and Huliaipilskyi districts – 64.6 million UAH, Yakymivskyi and Pryazovskyi districts – 64.6 million UAH, Vasylivskyi and Mykhailivskyi districts – more than 62 million UAH, etc.
As of the 1st of July 2020, the number of 10284 VAT payers was registered at the Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region, including 9318 legal entities and 966 individuals – entrepreneurs. Comparing to 2019, the number of business entities has increased by 276.
