Volyn blueberry growers paid 2.6 million UAH of tax payments to the budgets of all levels.
Of this amount, 1.5 million UAH is the rent for the special use of forest resources, another 1.1 million UAH is the personal income tax, which participants in the procurement business are obliged to accrue and pay for the harvested berries.
Currently, there is a positive tendency in the payment of rent for the special use of forest resources for harvesting of berries, as the limits received by business representatives exceed the last year’s figures by more than half a thousand tons.
“Additional revenues that Volyn annually attracts to its budgets during the berry and mushroom season allow communities to plan expenditures on the most pressing issues of life. Therefore, we ask leaders of territorial communities to carefully analyze the activities of entrepreneurs working in the accountable territories. Our joint task with local self-governments is to provide a regime of maximum assistance and support to those entrepreneurs who pay taxes honestly.” – emphasized Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Svitlana Savchuk.
Head of Volyn tax specialists assured that for their part, the STS specialists are actively working in special commissions at district state administrations and mobile groups that constantly monitor the harvesting process – from collection to storage, processing and export of forest gifts.
